Sylvan of Lake St. Louis recently grand opened its 141 Civic Center Drive location. With over 35 years of experience, Sylvan Learning provides personal learning for students in grades K-12. Sylvan’s programs include study skills, math, reading, writing and test-prep for college entrance and state exams. In keeping with today’s educational standards, Sylvan also provides students with STEM activities in robotics, coding and engineering.

Dents Express, 223 Hughes Lane in St. Charles, celebrates the 25th anniversary of the company’s first location in June. Company president Matt Wilson opened his first Dents Express in West St. Louis County in 1992. In 2001, Dents Express expanded to St. Charles and Wilson has said even more expansion is likely in the next five years. The Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce holds a Cycling Clinic and Guided Ride at the Streets of St. Charles, lower level Drury Hotel parking lot, from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12 [rainout date Thursday, June 14]. Admission is $10 per person and includes clinic conducted by a biking professional and light appetizers at Mission Taco following the ride. Participants will be responsible for purchasing their own beverages. All bike styles are welcome but, on the Katy Trail, bikes with wider tires work best. Participants are asked to bring a water bottle and helmet.
