Public invited to opioid panel discussion

On Thursday, June 21, United Way of Greater St. Louis – West Region will host a panel discussion about opioid addiction in our region and nation and the local community’s response.

The event will be held at RGA, located at 16600 Swingley Ridge Road in Chesterfield, and is free for the community. The panel discussion begins at 8 a.m. and will be followed by a short question and answer conversation. Advanced registration is required; register online at HelpingPeople.org/OpioidConversation.

Panelists include Sgt. Christopher Connelly, Chesterfield Police Department; Ken McManus, director of Alliance for Healthy Communities and a licensed professional counselor; Beth Sailors, vice president of treatment services with Preferred Family Healthcare; and Jamie Stewart, author of “From Heroin to Marathon Mom.” Tony Rothermich, administrator at Mercy Hospital Lincoln, will facilitate the conversation.
