Local student receives Eagle Scout Award

Eagle Scout Lucas Sproull, a senior at Liberty High

Lucas T. Sproull of Troop 968, Dardenne Prairie, Boone Trails District, of the Boy Scouts of America Greater St. Louis Area Council, has earned scouting’s highest rank – Eagle Scout.

Sproull, a senior at Liberty High, received the honor at a ceremony held at Morning Star Methodist Church in Dardenne Prairie.

Sproull’s community service project of choice was working with a team of other Scouts to design and construct two exterior Halter/Tack cabinets for the Tree House of Greater St. Louis [formally known as Therapeutic Horsemanship] ranch in Lake Saint Louis. The Tree House of Greater St. Louis ranch offers therapy, recreational, educational and exploration opportunities for individuals with disabilities and their families. The ranch’s services are offered for ages two to adult.

Sproull is the son of Tim and Angela Sproull, of Dardenne Prairie.
