Mike’s Grill and Tap is a family-owned and -operated food and beer lover’s paradise in O’Fallon, boasting fresh renovations, an updated menu and expanded hours.
The restaurant came under new ownership in July 2017, though it’s coincidentally still owned by a Mike – Mike Holmes.
“I’m there every day,” Mike, who has lived in the area for 15 years and is a former owner of Sherlock’s in Cottleville, said. “Meeting new people, connecting with customers, at the end of the day, I like to be out on the floor to talk and say ‘thank you’ to everyone.”
The restaurant’s menu features original, mouthwatering items such as Sizzling Steak Kabobs, Nachos Roma, Taco Salad, Bayou Penne Pasta and a variety of juicy burgers – while ensuring there are a host of beverages with which to pair.
Mike’s Grill and Tap is known for its 24 draft beers, many of them locally sourced. Year-round, visitors can taste the Angry Irish Wife red ale that was created by O’Fallon Brewery specifically for Mike’s Grill and Tap.
“It’s important for us to work with the little mom and pop breweries, but at the same time it’s important to give the customer what they want,” Mike said, adding that he is always listening to customers’ input and suggestions.
With recent renovations to the bar, dining room and other parts of the restaurant, customers dine in a great atmosphere that’s friendly to any age or demographic.
The fresh, made-from-scratch food and the cold drinks can now be enjoyed seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Catered events on- and off-site are also available.
