After being in business for 13 years through local hot dog stands, Dirty Dogz Hot Dogs is proud to have opened its own brick-and-mortar restaurant in 2017.
The only specialty hot dog restaurant in the area, Dirty Dogz Hot Dogs boasts a unique menu with more than 18 styles of gourmet hot dogs that are 100-percent black Angus beef. Fresh ingredients are used in all menu items. Customers can choose a signature dog or create their own from a list of toppings. French fries, cole slaw or mustard-style potato salad are offered with meals, as well as deep-fried oreos for a sweet dessert treat.
“Everything is made only for the company. Buns, hot dogs, sausages… No one can go anywhere else and buy what I sell,” Owner Jason Gaines said. “Everything is custom-made and cooked to order.”
The restaurant offers 55 different kinds of beer to wash down the good food. Customers can take advantage of specials during Cardinals and Blues games [shown on the restaurants two new TVs], happy hours and daily lunch specials.
In addition to the “quaint and cute” atmosphere in the restaurant, Jason said customers can also enjoy patio seating during nice weather.
The family business – employees of which include Jason’s mom, dad and brother – focuses on customer satisfaction.
“I pride myself on service,” Jason said. “We get emails every day complimenting us on our service.”
Dirty Dogz Hot Dogs is open every day but Monday and welcomes dine in and carry out orders.
