Design on a Dime is a home décor consignment shop that brings new life to gently used furniture and home décor. From sofas, bedroom furniture and dining sets to lamps, tables and wall art, the friendly staff can help customers redecorate their homes for a fraction of the cost.
“I’ve always loved to decorate, but it’s very expensive to do,” said Carrie Keipp, owner of Design on a Dime. Rather than keep buying new pieces, she thought, why not trade favorite pieces with others? This evolved into Design on a Dime.
“Our décor is first-class,” said Carrie. “Nothing goes onto the floor that hasn’t met our standards. Our staff also is great at helping with decorating ideas and can help you pull a room together.”
Design on a Dime also offers a home redesign service where Carrie goes into the client’s home to use existing furniture and home décor to change up and brighten the space. For a reasonable price, she helps with furniture placement, chooses wall colors, or refreshes décor to help customers pull together a room. Carrie can help with a single room or an entire house – and the first hour of consultation is completely free.
Inventory at Design on a Dime changes every 90 days, and prices drop every 30 days. The company also is active in the community and donates items that don’t sell to local charities.
The shop has many regular customers who always are greeted with a smile and a friendly and welcoming face.
“We know people by name. Customers are like family to us,” said Carrie.
