Applications for the city of St. Peters’ lawn mowing assistance program will become available Monday, Feb. 5.
The program provides lawn mowing assistance for a limited number of St. Peters residents who are elderly or disabled and meet income guidelines. Funds will be disbursed based on lowest income first. Applicants who are accepted into the program will be able to have their lawns mowed up to eight times this year, improving the livability and appearance of homes in St. Peters.
To be eligible for the program, everyone living in the home must be a St. Peters resident and at least 62 years old or severely disabled. Applicants are required to provide proof of income as well as proof of age and/or disability. The maximum household income based on 2016 federal taxes must not exceed: $26,100 [1 person]; $29,800 [2 people]; $33,550 [3 people]; or $37,250 [4 people].
Applications will be available online at stpetersmo.net beginning Monday, Feb. 5. To access the application from the home page, click on the “Residents” link and scroll down to “Community Programs;” then select “Lawn Mowing Assistance.”
Residents also can request an application by calling (636) 279-8279 and choosing option 4.
Completed applications with required documents must be returned to St. Peters City Hall before 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16. Applicants also may email their completed applications with required documents to firstname.lastname@example.org.
