St. Charles County resident Kelly Steiniger remains missing after having last been seen on Dec. 7 in the O’Fallon area.
Steiniger is a 39-year-old, 5-foot-3, white female weighing about 102 pounds and with multiple tattoos on both arms, including a distinctive cat tattoo on her left hand.
Steiniger’s family is concerned that she is at risk, especially since she has not contacted either her mother or son in the past month.
“It is so unlike her not to make contact with her family,” reported her step-grandmother Sue Steiniger. “Christmas always has been very special to this family, so its very concerning that her family did not hear from her at Christmas.”
On Jan. 17, O’Fallon Police, in conjunction with Metro Air Support, conducted an aerial search of the area around the QT and Cracker Barrel location on Hwy. K but to no avail.
O’Fallon Police is continuing to follow-up on leads in the case, according to Public Information Officer Diane Damke. Anyone with information related to Steiniger’s disappearance is urged to contact O’Fallon Police and anyone that sees Steiniger is urged to contact the police department of the locality in which Steiniger was seen.
“She’s not just another person to her family,” Steiniger’s grandmother said. “Where do we go from here? There are a lot of missing women in Missouri. We’re just going to try to keep her face in the media as much as possible.”
