New-home sales at all-time high
Sales of new single-family homes are at the highest level since October 2007 amid robust demand all across the United States, according to the Commerce Department. Economists had forecasted a 6-percent drop in new-home sales but, unexpectedly, home sales soared in October.
Here’s what’s new locally in new homes:
It’s been a busy year at Wyndgate Oaks, Fischer & Frichtel’s luxury home neighborhood in O’Fallon. Community sales manager Jim Horton reports that homes are selling at a steady pace in all four of the enclaves featuring Fischer’s upscale Heritage Collection; the entire community now is more than 60-percent sold.
Wyndgate Oaks is situated in a prime location off Hwy. N, directly accessible to I-64. The Wyndgate development boasts a vibrant resort lifestyle – community swim/sports complexes, parks, walking/biking trails, 50-plus acres of wooded common ground and an onsite daycare center.
For privacy and visual impact, Fischer & Frichtel has separated the expansive Heritage homesites into four distinct sections. Many are tree-lined and 100-foot frontages allow for price-included three-car garages. Another three magnificently wooded homesites, ranging from 2.5 to 5-plus acres, have been set aside for the firm’s top-of-the-line Estate and Signature designs in The Reserve.
The Heritage Collection starts from $419,900 and showcases nine ranch, 1.5-story and two-story plans with up to 3,840 square feet of living space. Each is crafted to the builder’s exacting standards.
Fischer completed three move-in-ready homes this fall, one of which has already sold, and further enhanced the site with landscaping and an irrigation system.
Available for immediate possession is a beautifully customized Durham II ranch, sale-priced at $589,900, which includes an island kitchen with designer cabinetry and granite countertops, a main-floor study and floor-to-ceiling stone surrounding the hearth room fireplace.
Sale-priced at $674,900, the four-bedroom Wyndham 1.5-story features extensive wood flooring, a gas fireplace, a gourmet kitchen, hearth room, opulent main-floor master, and a loft and spacious step-up bonus room on the upper level.
Through Dec. 31, both of these homes are eligible for a money-saving offer on closing costs. For questions, call (636) 625-0376. Complete details on Wyndgate Oaks can be found at fandfhomes.com.
