The Saeger Middle community recently rallied behind Bizzell by collecting donations to help pay for his medical expenses.
“We have such a wonderful Saeger family and community,” Dr. Kandy Worley, Seager principal, said. “Community members, district personnel, former students and retired staff were here meeting, greeting, hugging and supporting.”
New or gently used pairs of shoes may be brought to Saeger to a drop-off box in the front of the school. Funds2orgs will collect the shoes on Nov. 30 and will pay Saeger for all shoes collected. General donations also will be accepted at the main office. The school also is selling orange wristbands for $2 as part of the fundraiser.
Bizzell finished up his latest round of radiation treatments in late October, and now plans to return to Saeger Middle.
