Free home drug testing program announced in Cottleville

By: Ellen Lampe

The city of Cottleville and local parents are uniting against substance abuse with a free home drug testing program. Recently, Cottleville announced a new alliance with TestMyTeen.com, an organization that donates free home drug test kit vouchers to be shared anonymously with parents who need them

TestMyTeen’s website states that if you think your teen is experimenting with drugs, alcohol or tobacco, it’s best to address it before it gets worse. The site says the home-testing kit protects privacy and provides kids with a socially acceptable excuse, “My parents test me.”

Parents wanting to learn more can visit the city’s website [cityofcottleville.com] for instructions on how to get a free kit, or click here.

The kit tests for cocaine, amphetamine, marijuana, opiates [codeine, morphine, heroin, narcotics], methamphetamine, barbiturates, benzodiazepines, oxycodone/oxycontin, MDMA [ecstasy] and methadone.
