German students arrive at Lutheran High School

German exchange students arrived at Lutheran High School of St. Charles County [LHS] on Oct. 13, and will stay until Oct. 26.

The LHS German Department is part of the Sister Cities program with a school in Ludwigsburg, Germany, and students from the schools visit each other on a regular basis. The German students will participate in home-stays with LHS families for the two-week duration of their trip. They will visit local sites such as Saint Charles’ Historic Main Street, the St. Peters RecPlex and Lindenwood University.

The exchange program is facilitated by Rev. Dr. Martin Conkling, Ph.D, who teaches German and social studies at LHS.

Other area schools involved in the Sister Cities program are St. Charles High and St. Charles West.
