Celebrating 30 years at Mid Rivers Mall

By: Lisa Russell

It’s the ‘80s all over again!

Well, at least for one day as Mid Rivers Mall celebrates the 30th anniversary of its founding on Saturday, Oct. 14.

The free event, hosted by KEZK’s Trish Gazall, begins at noon in Center Court with a DJ playing ‘80s songs.

Don’t miss a special performance by the youngest female artist to top the Billboard charts – ‘80s heartthrob Tiffany – at 1 p.m.

Tiffany’s iconic No. 1 hit single, “I Think We’re Alone Now,” captured the heart of a nation and catapulted her to pop superstardom. The legendary pop star earned a second No. 1 hit single with “Could’ve Been.” She has sold over 15 million albums to date.

After the concert, the celebration continues with a special meet-and-greet with Tiffany!

Thirty years is the Pearl Anniversary and, on Oct. 14, visitors to Mid Rivers Mall can register to win a Pearl Jewelry Set from Helzberg Diamonds featuring a necklace, earrings and bracelet.

Guests also can register to win a $250 Visa gift card or one of five $100 Visa gift cards, sponsored by Wiegmann Associates. Other prizes offered by Mid Rivers Mall stores include passes to Knockerball Smash, a $30 gift card to Piercing Pagoda and more!

On the upper level, above Center Court, guests can visit the BJC Mobile Health Fair. A state fair-themed attraction, the Fair includes Skee ball, a coloring contest, giant board games, trivia, photo opportunities, give-aways and more. It’s a fun way for families to learn all about a healthy lifestyle! And it’s free.
