PLACES 

Dents Express, a paintless dent removal, hail damage and minor body auto repair shop, opened a second location at 223 Hughes Lane in St. Charles. The new location boasts 8,000 square feet and allows for the hiring of five additional full-time employees, while also providing for new repair options including wheels, fenders and door replacements.

Cedar Lake Cellars, a 370-acre, year-round winery and event venue, recently opened a new event and dining space called The Barrel Room. The 7,500-square-foot, multipurpose building more than doubles the amount of event space at the winery, located at 11008 Schreckengast Road in Wright City.

Two St. Charles County nonprofit organizations, The Sparrow’s Nest and Our Lady’s Inn, were recipients of $5,000 “Sharing Success” grants from Cuivre River Electric Cooperative and financial partner CoBank of Denver, Colorado. Funds will be used to continue providing a safe haven and housing outreach for homeless, pregnant or parenting mothers and their children.

Deer Valley Home Health grand opening

Deer Valley Home Health recently celebrated the grand opening of its St. Charles location with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. On hand were CEO Ada Taylor, staff members, family, friends, representatives from the cities of St. Charles and St. Peters, and the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce. Located at 516 N. Fifth St. in St. Charles, Deer Valley Home Health provides a broad spectrum of home health care services to meet the needs of its clients.

Ashley Jordan of Cedar Lake Cellars

Chad Poole of Cedar Lake Cellars

Cedar Lake Cellars recently promoted Ashley Jordan to wine coordinator and Chad Poole to Barrel Room coordinator. Jordan’s responsibilities include assisting the wine manager with beverage operations, as well as focusing on overall beverage sales and quality customer experience. Poole’s responsibilities include managing the Barrel Room’s services and staff, as well as coordinating specific events at the new venue.

Burns Recovered/Midwest Children’s Burn Camp, a nonprofit agency that assists adult and youth burn survivors and their loved ones, has added O’Fallon resident Kanisha Anthony and Foristell resident Bethany Westlake to its board of directors.

The Greater St. Charles Chamber of Commerce hosts a weekly Networking Happy Hour on Wednesday, Aug. 16 from 4-7 p.m. at Kokomo Joe’s, 4105 N. Cloverleaf Drive in St. Peters.
