Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa’s new, state-of-the-art facility in O’Fallon.

After 13 years of business partnership, Yuppy Puppy Pet Spa and The Pet Doctor recently opened their stylish new location where the comforts of home meet high-tech, high-quality professional care. The spa provides compassionate, customized, trustworthy pet services in an upscale, sanitary environment, creating a new standard of pet care and peace of mind for pet owners.

TLD Concepts, Inc. received an award from the St. Charles County Workforce Development Board.

St. Charles-based TLD Concepts, Inc., a medical equipment manufacturer, recently was recognized by the St. Charles County Workforce Development Board for its entrepreneurial success and use of the county’s OJT “On the Job Training” program to grow its staff. TLD turned to the Missouri Job Center of St. Charles County and their OJT program to help them find and train six new employees.  Funded by federal and state grants, the OJT program provides a reimbursement to qualifying companies of up to 50 percent for a new employee’s wages during their training period, which can last up to six months. Participating companies must hire unemployed, underemployed or inexperienced workers who need specialized training to do their new job.

The O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce & Industries was named a finalist for the 2017 Chamber of the Year award, presented by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and sponsored by WebLink International. Organizations entering the Chamber of the Year competition must meet minimum thresholds in at least three of five key performance areas, including net revenue, net assets, membership account retention and membership dollar retention.

Mercy recently opened a new audiology and hearing aid clinic at 300 Winding Woods Drive, Suite 204A in O’Fallon. This clinic joins two established Mercy audiology clinic locations in St. Louis and West County, providing a more convenient location for patients who live in or near St. Charles County. Services include adult and pediatric hearing tests, newborn hearing screenings, hearing aid fittings, cochlear implants, bone-anchored devices and auditory processing testing. The clinic is open from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Monday-Thursday.

Amco Ranger Termite & Pest Solutions celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Amco Ranger Termite & Pest Solutions recently celebrated the opening of its new location at  5185 Hwy. N in Cottleville with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. On hand were owners Andy Mannino Jr. and Drew Mannino, board members and ambassadors with the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce and representatives of the Cottleville/Weldon Spring Chamber of Commerce. Amco Ranger Termite & Pest Solutions offers a total commitment to using green solutions and best practices for controlling pests.

McClay Senior Care has begun construction of a licensed skilled nursing facility, which will be adjacent to the McClay Adult Day Center located just north of Jungerman Road on McClay Road. The new, state-of-the-art, 60-bed facility will feature a 20-bed dementia unit complete with functional therapy, activity, private dining and rehabilitation rooms. The building is designed to offer seniors personalized medical treatment using a social model of care.

Ithiel Turrado

St. Charles resident Ithiel Turrado joined Clayton-based Argent Capital Management as a research analyst. In his new role, Turrado will work with the small cap investment team to perform primary market research across the small capitalization segment. A former Argent intern, Turrado earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in finance from Lindenwood University. Turrado is a chartered financial analysis candidate and is fluent in Spanish.

 

NETWORKING AND EVENTS

FUSE takes place from 2:30-6 p.m. on Thursday, July 20 at the Foundry Art Centre, 520 N. Main Center in St. Charles. FUSE is an open-house-style learning, panel discussion and networking event. FUSE is designed to ignite conversation and cultivate ideas to create opportunities of community betterment and economic growth in St. Charles County. Free for chamber members and their employees.
