Mathnasium of St. Peters North recently celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The learning center, located at 7123 Mexico Road in St. Peters, operates on the belief that virtually any child can excel in math.

SSM Health recently opened a 55,700-square-foot outpatient center at 711 Veterans Memorial Parkway in Saint Charles. The center provides primary and specialty healthcare services, including an urgent care clinic and advanced imaging services such as MRI, CT, X-ray, ultrasound, mammography and bone density.

Augusta Wine Company, consisting of Augusta and Montelle wineries, won multiple medals and a “Best of Class” honor from the California Pacific Rim Wine Competition – the most prestigious being Best of Class and gold for Montelle’s 2016 Dry Vignoles. Other medals included gold for Augusta’s 2014 Norton and Montelle’s 2014 Norton, and silver for Augusta’s 2014 Chambourcin and Montelle’s 2016 Seyval Blanc.

St. Charles Community College has selected John Bookstaver, Ph.D., as vice president for academic and student affairs. Bookstaver has more than 30 years experience in education, both in the classroom and in various leadership positions. In 2010, he was named SCC’s Faculty Member of the Year and honored with the Emerson Award for Excellence in Teaching.
