The St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department is hosting a Go Skateboarding Day event on Wednesday, June 21 from noon-5 p.m. at the Youth Activity Park in Dardenne Prairie.
Over the years, this event has developed into one of the region’s largest national Go Skateboarding Day celebrations, set in the state’s largest outdoor skate park. It features competitions, demonstrations and product giveaways.
“Our 33,000 square-foot state-of-the-art facility is equipped with a street course, nighttime lighting, beginner, intermediate and advanced bowls, and is designed to provide a safe place for area youth to enjoy an assortment of alternative recreational opportunities,” said St. Charles County Parks Director Bettie Yahn-Kramer.
Admission is free. Spectators of all ages and anyone with a skateboard, roller blades, BMX bike or scooter are encouraged to attend.
