Vertical construction began in February and is on schedule, despite inclement weather throughout the spring.
The mall buildings will be under roof by June 1, with interior construction and build-out of all tenant stores scheduled to begin in early June.
The 270,000-square-foot shopping center, developed by GBT Realty Corp. of Brentwood, Tenn., includes 14 buildings on 28 acres just north of Interstate 70, across from Mid Rivers Mall.
Confirmed tenants include Academy Sports + Outdoors, Burlington Coat Factory, Ross, Marshalls, HomeGoods, Ulta Beauty, Five Below and Famous Footwear. Aspen Dental will be located on one of the site’s four outparcels.
Knoebel Construction, Inc., of Chesterfield, is the project’s general contractor, the largest mall to be built in St. Charles County since 2008. Knoebel divided the work into several sub-projects with separate management teams to meet an expedited schedule.
GBT’s goal is to complete the mall by fall, in time for the holiday shopping season.
