New inpatient rehab facility to open in St. Peters

The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis is constructing a new 39,000-square-foot rehabilitation facility on the third floor of Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital. The 35-bed facility will provide acute occupational and physical therapy services to help patients transition home following a long-term illness or severe injury.

“There’s a great need for these services in St. Charles County, and we’re excited to bring them to the community,” said Chris Watts, president of Barnes-Jewish St. Peters and Progress West Hospitals. Construction is expected to be complete this summer.
