Each high school in the Francis Howell district has received national re-certification for Project Lead the Way, [PLTW] an education program focused on computer science, engineering and biomedical science.
PLTW is a nonprofit organization that provides “transformative learning experiences for students and teachers.” The Francis Howell School District has offered PLTW classes since 2010.
National PLTW recognition distinguishes schools for successfully demonstrating their commitment to the program’s standards.
“Francis Howell School District is excited to continue our partnership with Project Lead the Way to offer coursework in engineering, as well as biomedical science and computer science,” Dr. Chris Greiner, director of student learning, said. “PLTW classes deliver an engaging learning environment for students. These experiences provide the knowledge and skills our students need to thrive in high-demand college and career pathways.”
