Beer will be the focus at a new brew fest set for Saturday, May 20 in the heart of Missouri wine country.
The inaugural Daniel Boone Home Brew Fest will be held from noon-5 p.m. at the historic Daniel Boone Home near Defiance and features local breweries and homebrewers from across the state of Missouri. The fest is open to persons age 21 and older and is presented by the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department.
The fest is limited to 500 attendees. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Tickets can be purchased online at www.stccparks.org or by calling the Daniel Boone Home at (636) 798-2005. Designated driver tickets are free and include a ticket to tour Daniel Boone home.
Participants include Augusta Brew Haus, Exit 6, Friendship Brewing Company, Garage Brew Society, Good News Brewing Company, Little Hills Home Brewers, Missouri Beer Co., STL Brewminati, Third Wheel Brewing, Trailhead, Two Plumbers Brewery & Arcade and more.
Along with beer sampling, tickets include a souvenir tasting glass and a tour of The Historic Daniel Boone Home. Participants also will have the chance to vote on the “People’s Choice” – best home brew.
The fest features live entertainment with Skylark Brothers Band from noon-3 p.m., and Buskin Bootleggers from 3-5 p.m. Doughboys Wood Fired Pizza and Twisted Tacos food trucks will have items to purchase.
The Historic Daniel Boone Home is located at 1868 Hwy. F in Defiance and overlooks the scenic Femme Osage Valley. The 300-acre site includes the home, the adjoining village historic and surrounding property.
