The Missouri Future Business Leaders of America [FBLA] State Leadership Conference included students from Holt, Liberty and Timberland high schools in the Wentzville School District.
FBLA is a professional association for students who are interested in business careers. More than 4,000 students from across Missouri attended the conference in Springfield, held April 2-4. Wentzville had 15 students earn medals for various competitions; nine of the students earned top honors to qualify for the National FBLA Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California, June 29-July 2.
Advancing to nationals are: Holt seniors Jake Deniszczuk and Zach Gmyr and junior Brett Coulon, second place in Computer Game & Simulation Team; Liberty senior Cameron Dierks, second place in Accounting II; and Timberland senior Andrew Nettler, third place in Business Law.Additionally, several students earned fourth place in their respective categories: Holt senior Evan Hatmaker and junior Ben Goldstein, Mobile Application Development Team; Liberty junior Tyler Melvin, Personal Finance; and Timberland senior Logan Renne, Accounting II. Students who earned medals are: Liberty seniors Cameron Dierks, sixth place, Economics; Adrian Przezdziecki, seventh place, Accounting II; Abby Ebenstein and Alicia Orlando, ninth place, Management Decision Making; Timberland senior Andrew Nettler, 10th place, Securities & Investments; and junior Danny D’Nagy and seniors Tom Creighton and Gabbi Eckert, 10th place, Management Decision Making.
