O’Fallon to showcase O’Day, Civic Park projects on April 11

The public is invited to view designs for facilities in O’Fallon’s new O’Day Park and for the expanded Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center facility in Civic Park during an open house, Tuesday, April 11, from 5-6:30 p.m. in the food court at O’Fallon City Hall, 100 North Main Street.

Last August, 60 percent of O’Fallon voters said “yes” to improvements to these parks and now, they will get a first look at the proposed designs and have an opportunity to talk to the design teams, who will be available to answer questions.

Civic Park’s Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center is slated to be enlarged and revamped with new features to accommodate more patrons and activities. O’Day Park is a 57-acre wooded tract being developed as a nature park with paths, natural areas, an adventure playground, meeting facilities, an amphitheater and more.
