Wednesday marked the first day that high school seniors could sign a binding National Letter of Intent in college sports such as football, baseball, soccer, softball, track and field, cross country and water polo.
Francis Howell announced that 11 student-athletes will continue their academic and athletic careers on the college level next fall.
Kennedy Cordia, Mikayla Hardy and Lydia Frederick from the Vikings state runner-up volleyball club signed to play at the college level with Saint Louis University, University of Chicago and Nicholls State University, respectively.
“I am very proud of the young men and women in our programs and how they strive for success in the classroom, in their sport and in our community,” Francis Howell Athletic Director Sean Erwin said. “The Class of 2017 looks to build on the solid foundation that has been established.
