Cottleville firefighters hold 7th annual ‘Haunted Trail’ fund raiser

Cottleville Fire Protection District firefighters may look a bit scary on Oct. 8.

They will be in costume for their annual “Haunted Trail” fund raiser starting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8 at the city’s Legacy Park, off Highway N and next to Dardenne Creek, next to city hall and the police station. This is the seventh year that firefighters have held the event, which raises the firefighters Outreach, which assists families in crisis.

According to a news release, the outdoor “haunted trail” will feature a “Molly Crenshaw” grave, “Slender Man and Wolf Man,” zombies, a simulated hazardous waste spill, a haunted prison, the “clown asylum,” a grave yard, a “Black Box” and the “popular Corn Field of Screams.” Tickets for the trail are $15.

Along with the haunted trail, the event will also feature a bonfire party that includes food trucks, music, yard games, balloons and beverages. The bonfire party is free.
