Sunset Fridays returns to 370 Lakeside Park on May 20.

Throughout summer St. Peters is home to Sunset Fridays, a robust series of free concerts held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday nights at 370 Lakeside Park, 1000 Lakeside Park Drive.

The outdoor venue features an expansive Corporate Pavilion that seats more than 300 guests on comfortable furniture and has a large concrete courtyard placed right in the center, perfect for guests to set up their own chairs and get a front row seat next to the band. Surrounding the pavilion are large grassy areas where guests can lounge on blankets or in folding chairs while enjoying picnics, stunning views of the lake and great music.

Some perennial favorites return to this year’s musical lineup, along with an infusion of new performers.

Kicking off the series on May 20 is fan favorite Wade Trent, who brings a mix of rock and country to the stage.

Online radio stations from TheRoots.FM, including Groove Jazz and The Rock, will broadcast live one hour before each concert starts.

All of the bands are family friendly and the Gator Island Grill opens at 6 p.m. on concert nights, providing a special menu of grilled food, homemade chips, ice cold beer, wine and soft drinks. Coolers and snacks also may be carried into the park. However, glass containers are prohibited and outside alcoholic drinks may not be brought into the Corporate Pavilion area.

“Sunset Fridays are a great way to wind down from a busy week,” Mayor Len Pagano said of the St. Peters tradition. “With great entertainment, delicious food and refreshments and the beautiful setting right on the lake at 370 Lakeside Park, it’s the perfect way to start off the weekend!”

There are several close parking lots adjacent to the pavilion, including ADA accessible parking, as well

as ADA accessible parking directly in front of the pavilion. The area includes paved walking paths to

the pavilion from the parking lots and along the lake, as well as an indoor restroom facility.

Sponsors of Sunset Fridays include TheRoots.FM, Mid Rivers Newsmagazine, SSM St. Joseph Hospital and Commerce Bank.
