A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held March 24 to mark the grand opening of Advanced Bone & Joint’s second location in O’Fallon.

O’Fallon resident David Cantoni has been named the  2015 Hunter Education Program Staff Instructor of the Year for the St. Louis Region by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Cantoni serves as program coordinator at the August A. Busch Shooting Range in St. Charles.

St. Charles County Executive Steve Ehlmann has appointed attorney Keith Hazelwood as County Counselor, effective May 1. Hazelwood’s practice has involved advising a wide range of clients, including municipal governments, landlords and tenants, developers and both borrowers and lenders on real estate matters. He is a founding member in Hazelwood & Weber LLC, and previously was a partner at Thompson Coburn. Hazelwood is a  graduate of Washington University School of Law and Dartmouth College.

St. Charles residents Ryan Hesker and Jeffrey Patterson recently joined Murphy Company in St. Louis. Hesker, a mechanical engineering graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, joined the company as a design-build engineer after having previously served as an intern. Patterson, who was added as an estimator, has more than 25 years’ experience in mechanical estimating, including piping, plumbing, sheet metal and HVAC systems.

Advanced Bone & Joint recently opened its second St. Charles County location at 4651 Hwy. K in O’Fallon. The facility’s physicians and specialists provide comprehensive treatment of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions. Advanced Bone & Joint’s first area location is at 112 Piper Hill Drive in St. Peters.

Breeze Park, the senior living community in St. Charles operated by Lutheran Senior Services, celebrated its 20th anniversary at a special reception for local leaders on April 15. The community, located at 600 Breeze Park Drive, has undergone significant expansion, and now houses 310 residents and employs 217 area residents.

The Cuivre River Electric Community Trust recently awarded a $5,000 Operation Round Up grant to the  St. Charles Volunteers in Medicine [VIM] clinic to provide medications for patients needing prescription assistance. The CREC Trust, which distributes Operation Round Up funds, has supported the VIM’s mission with more than $45,000 in grants since 1998.
