New in the neighborhood

Bark 2 Basics LLC, an independent local retailer of pet products and services, recently opened at 107 O’Fallon Commons Drive in O’Fallon.  The business sells high quality dog and cat food, treats, toys and accessories, and also offers allergy testing and counseling for feeding pets with allergies and other nutritional needs. Bark 2 Basics will host a Grand Opening Celebration on Saturday, April 2 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. The store is open Monday-Friday from10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.

Area accounting firm Kiefer Bonfanti & Co. LLP recently promoted Wentzville resident Mary A. Green to senior accountant. Green, who was previously an associate, joined Kiefer Bonfanti in 2007. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Fontbonne University.

The SunRise United Methodist Church O’Fallon campus, located at 7116 Twin Chimneys Blvd., celebrated its 25th anniversary with a weekend celebration March 5 and 6. A visit from Bruce Baxter, the church’s first pastor, along with a dinner and receptions for current and past members of the congregation were included in the weekend’s activities.

Penmac Staffing Branch Manager Gil Valazquez [pictured above, cutting ribbon] recently celebrated the grand opening of the company’s new office located at 5700 Mexico Road, Suite 6 in St. Peters. Also on hand were St. Peters Mayor Len Pagano, St. Peters officials and representatives of the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce.

Parameter Security of St. Charles and its CEO, Renee Chronister, recently were recognized by the St. Charles County Workforce Development Board for the company’s success as a STEM [Science, Technology, Engineering and Math] start-up. Parameter Security provides “ethical hacking” services to businesses and governments around the world as well as training and special events in the growing field of cybersecurity.
