Lake Saint Louis police seek information on driver who allegedly lured girl to vehicle

Lake Saint Louis police are seeking information on a driver of a gray pickup truck who allegedly tried to lure a girl into his vehicle several times in the last few weeks.

Police say the received a report from a 15-year-old girl who said that a man approached here at about 2:15 p.m. on Feb. 4 while she was walking near Landing Place Drive in Lake Saint Louis.  The man asked if victim needed a ride since it was cold outside.

She said she told him no and the man demanded that she get into his truck.  She then fled the area and reported the matter to police.

She also told police that the same suspect driving the same vehicle approached her at about the same time of day on Landing Place Drive about a week earlier.  He asked if she needed a ride, which she refused, she told police.

The suspect is described as a while male in his late 30s or early 40s, with a “thin cut” dark beard and short hair with small amounts of gray. He was described as wearing a dark colored jacket.
