Fuzzy’s Taco Shop recently celebrated the grand opening of its fourth St. Louis area location at 2412 West Clay Street in St. Charles with a ribbon-cutting. On hand were representatives of the city of St. Charles, along with board members and ambassadors with the Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce. The chain, launched in 2003, has grown to 78 restaurants in 10 states.

People

Pulaski Bank, with area locations in St. Charles and O’Fallon, recently named Carl Bolm to its Advisory Board. Bolm is the president and owner of BSR Services, St. Louis’ largest locally owned and operated snow and ice management provider. In his advisory position with Pulaski Bank, Bolm will take an active role in new business development and customer retention, and will help identify individuals and businesses for potential financial assistance.

To kick off its 63rd program year, the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce has changed its name; the organization has become the O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce and Industries. The change comes as part of an effort to more closely align the chamber’s mission and programming with its brand, following a review of the diversity of the organization’s membership and its correlation to O’Fallon’s businesses.

Alliance Technologies, LLC, of St. Louis has acquired Metro IT Solutions, an IT firm based in Lake Saint Louis. The acquisition adds dozens of clients to Alliance’s customer base as the firm continues its expansion throughout the St. Louis Region and Eastern Missouri to include St. Charles County. Christopher DeLaquil, former owner of Metro IT Solutions, will join Alliance Technologies to serve as the firm’s new director of client services.

United Services for Children, a nonprofit agency that operates a pediatric therapy and developmental learning center in St. Peters, recently received an $11,580 grant award from The Employees Community Fund of Boeing. The grant will allow United Services for Children to purchase equipment for preschool-age students in its Early Childhood Special Education program. Celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the agency serves approximately 1,000 children annually.

St. Peters resident Michelle Walker has been awarded the prestigious Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) Designation by the Council of Residential Specialists, the largest nonprofit affiliate of the National Association of REALTORS®. Walker is the broker-owner of STL Buy & Sell, REALTORS.  Recipients of the CRS Designation have completed advanced professional training and demonstrated

outstanding professional achievement in residential real estate.

The Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce holds a morning networking coffee on Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 7:30-9 a.m. at Renaissance Plastic Surgery, 145 St. Peters Centre Blvd. in St. Peters. The O’Fallon Chamber of Commerce & Industries hosts its 5th annual Trivia Night on Friday, Nov. 6, at Trigg Banquet Center, 300 O’Fallon Plaza. Doors open at 6 p.m. and trivia starts at 7 p.m.  Both chamber members and the public are invited to attend. The cost of $160 per table of eight includes10 rounds of trivia, door prizes, a mulligan, beer and soda; participants may bring their own snacks. A prize for the best decorated Disney-themed table and best group costume also highlight the evening.
