Cade Brister and DeOndre Stockton scored on short runs in the final minute of the first half to break a scoreless tie and propel Fort Zumwalt North to an easy 42-7 victory over Timberland at home in the regular season finale for both clubs.
The victory capped off a perfect regular season for the Panthers as Zumwalt North moved to 9-0.
Zumwalt North, off to its best start in school history, jumped to a 14-0 lead just before the half as Stockton and Brister scored on touchdown runs of 10 and 2 yards respectively.
Then in the third quarter, Cade Brister caught fire as he hooked up with brother Dacey Brister on a 17-yard touchdown pass that made it 21-0 with 10:15 left in the third quarter.
The Panthers signal-caller then added touchdown dashes of 1-yard and 32-yards to close out an explosive third quarter that put Zumwalt North up 35-7.
Tavian Robinson capped off the scoring for Zumwalt North with a 3-yard run with 10:50 left to go.
Timberland (3-6) avoided a shutout thanks to a 2-yard touchdown run from Aaron Ervin with 2:25 left in the third quarter.
