An 80-yard Jordon Cooper touchdown run put Francis Howell Central up 7-0 just 13 seconds into the Spartans GAC South conference game at Francis Howell on Friday night.
That turned out to be the only time that Howell Central would know what it was like to hold the lead against the powerful Vikings.
Francis Howell erupted for 42 unanswered points and in the process rolled to a 42-7 victory over the struggling Spartans.
Howell’s big-time passing combination of quarterback Colton White and wide receiver Quentin White struck almost at will as the White Brothers connected on touchdown tosses of 8, 6, and 25 yards to pace the Vikings offense. Quentin White threw five touchdowns and had 358 yards through the air.
Quetin’s White first touchdown passes to Colton White evened the score a at 7-7 with 7:52 left in the first quarter.
Johhny Krone put Howell (7-0, 4-0) ahead on a 44-yard touchdown pass from Quentin White with 5:10 to go in the second quarter.
Up two touchdowns in the third quarter, the Vikings went to work to put the turbo clock into action for the evening.
Justin Perkins scored a a 2-yard run to make it 21-7 and Jalen Williams hauled in a 42-yard bomb for six from Quentin White for a 35-7 cushion.
Then with 3:51 left in the third quarter, Quentin White and Colton White hooked up on a 25-yard touchdown strike making it 42-7 and triggering the turbo clock for the rest of the contest.
Francis Howell will seek to finish the regular season unbeaten next week when they host conference foe Troy in their regular season finale Friday at 7 p.m.
Howell Central (1-6, 0-3) returns home to face Timberland on Friday at 7 p.m.
