Familiar faces and new spaces will greet guests this summer at the free Sunset Fridays concerts hosted by the city of St. Peters and sponsored by Mid Rivers Newsmagazine.
Popular groups from last year are returning as well as some fresh additions. All performances will take place onstage in the recently built Corporate Pavilion in 370 Lakeside Park, 1000 Lakeside Park Drive.
All shows in the 12-week series begin at 6:30 p.m.
“Our Corporate Pavilion takes the whole event to a new level,” said St. Peters’ TV Program Development Specialist Chris Burke. “The open area in front is great for listening to the music and the seating on the sides is ideal for guests who want to have conversations with friends and family.”
The pavilion features new tables and comfortable chairs with seating for 300.
St. Peters staff suggest that concertgoers arrive early to enjoy refreshments at the Gator Island Grill, which opens at 6 p.m. for all concerts except those on July 31 and Aug. 7. During those two evenings food trucks will provide a variety of special treats for concertgoers.
Coolers and snacks may be carried in as well as blankets and lawn chairs.
While only one road into and out of 370 Lakeside Park exists, St. Peters officials said there is ample parking and paved paths to the pavilion. To reach 370 Lakeside Park, exit Hwy. 370 onto 370 Lakeside Park Drive/Truman Blvd.
