The Francis Howell school district will adjust the prices of its school meals and à la carte items, beginning in August 2015.
The motion, which was approved at the April 2 Board of Education meeting, is in compliance with the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010.
Students will see an increase of 10 cents in their meals, costing them an additional $16.90 per year. According to the board, prices must increase to account for inflation.
The motion also increases prices for à la carte food items. These items include second lunches, adult lunches and adult breakfasts.
