The Board of Directors of the 12-county area nonprofit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) has renewed the employment contract of President and Chief Executive Officer Don Patrick. The two-year renewal will take Patrick into his 30th year as the agency’s CEO. NECAC, with a St. Charles County service center located in O’Fallon, oversees the administration of more than 60 self-sufficiency service programs for low-income, elderly, youth, disabled and disadvantaged residents.

Lori Branneky Williams recently was promoted to retail operations officer of St. Johns Bank, a locally owned, full-service community bank with five locations in St. Louis and St. Charles counties. Branneky Williams, the great granddaughter of bank founder Walter H. Branneky, has been with St. Johns Bank for 10 years and has worked at all five of the bank’s branches.

Coldwell Banker Gundaker’s St. Charles County/Bluestone office recently raised $20,000 to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities of St. Louis by hosting its Ninth Annual Trivia Night, Raffle and Auction. To date, the company has raised more than $1.9 million for Ronald McDonald House.

The Battlegrounds, St. Louis’ largest permanent mud run obstacle course, is one of just two racing venues in the U.S. recently named as a qualifying location for the Obstacle Course Racing World Championships (OCRWC). As a new qualifying event race for the OCRWC, The Battlegrounds’ participants can qualify for an upcoming international race by finishing in the top 20 in their gender ; the next race is scheduled for Saturday, May 2 at 8 a.m.
