Mercy Hospital Lincoln, formerly Lincoln County Medical Center, became part of Mercy on March 1, namingTony Rothermich as local administrator. Rothermich has been with Mercy for 22 years, most recently as vice president of operations. He holds an undergraduate degree in health care management from Maryville University and a masters of business administration degree from Lindenwood University.
Two new early childhood education centers have recently opened in O’Fallon. On Jan. 30, the O’Fallon Early Childhood Center opened for business at 220 Sonderen. The Primrose School of O’Fallon at WingHaven was launched on Feb. 2, at 7778 WingHaven Blvd.

Whispering Pines Retirement Community, located at 700 Forest Avenue in Warrenton, has changed its name to Oak Pointe of Warrenton Assisted Living and Memory Care. Oak Pointe, operated by Provision Living Senior Living Communities, LLC, announced the name change after attaining state certification in February to operate as an assisted living and memory care community.

Universal Components Group (UCG), a United Kingdom-based vehicle aftermarket parts distribution company, has chosen O’Fallon as the location for its first North American facility. The expansion project includes a $765,000 capital investment and is expected to create 31 new jobs. The approximately 10,000-square foot-warehouse and distribution center in O’Fallon is located at 1414 Hoff Industrial Court.

The trauma program at SSM St. Joseph Health Center reached a new service benchmark in 2014. For the first time over the course of a calendar year, the center treated more than 1,000 trauma patients, indicating its prevalence as a trusted emergency care provider in the St. Charles County area. Its emergency department, which now includes four dedicated trauma bays, also is the county’s largest.

Susie Johnson, sales associate with the company’s Highway 94@Mid Rivers office and member of the Coldwell Banker Gundaker Hall of Fame, was ranked as its second highest-achieving sales associate with over $35 million in sales. Sales Associate Melissa April, also of the Highway 94@Mid Rivers office, was named Rookie of the Year.
