Police warn ‘don’t drink and drive’

The St. Peters Police Department will be working with the St. Charles County DWI Task Force for entire month of April, at undisclosed locations throughout the city, setting up checkpoints.

“Driving drunk is simply not worth all the consequences,” stated Chief Jeff Finkelstein

Those consequences include jail time, loss of driver’s license, or being sentenced to use ignition interlocks. Insurance rates also may be affected, and other financial considerations might include attorney fees, court costs, lost time at work, and the potential loss of job or job prospects.
