Charity Ball raises record amount

The mayors from St. Charles County last week announced that a record $82,000 was raised at the 2015 St. Charles County Mayors’ Charity Ball.

The annual charity ball event was held on March 14 at the St. Charles Convention Center.

Proceeds from the event were awarded to Boys & Girls Club of St. Charles County, Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County, LINC of Wentzville, St. Charles City/County Library Foundation, The Center for Autism Education-O’Fallon, and Volunteers in Medicine of St. Charles.

The official hand-off to representatives of those local area charities was made by Mayor Sally Faith, city of St. Charles; Mayor Len Pagano, city of St. Peters; Mayor Bill Hennessy, city of O’Fallon; Mayor Kathy Schweikert, city of Lake Saint Louis; Mayor Nick Guccione, city of Wentzville; and Mayor William Richter, city of West Alton.

“The success of the Mayors’ Charity Ball relies on the support of our community and the generosity of our corporate sponsors,” Pagano said. “I am overwhelmed and grateful for their support.”
