The largest independent Christian school system in St. Charles County is growing again.
Living Word Christian School is moving its preschool and elementary school on June 1 to the facility of Willott Road Community Church.
The building, located at 1610 Willott Road in St. Peters, will allow room for both schools to continue growing and serving more families in St. Charles County and beyond.
“We are very excited to offer our students, school families, faculty, and staff a facility that truly reflects the excellent Christian education LWCS has delivered for years,” said LWCS Board Chair Terry Matejka.
Many classrooms in the current facilities have been operating at capacity for a number of years. This move will provide more spacious classrooms, a large gym, a chapel, a cafeteria, and a sizable, more functional kitchen. In addition, the preschool and elementary will be operating under the same roof, Matejka said.
“We have always said the spiritual and academic impact that happens in our classrooms is a result of our outstanding teachers and staff. A building is just a tool,” said LWCS Superintendent Keith Currivean. “However, this new space will significantly enhance how we are able to deliver Pre-K through fifth-grade education. ”
Open houses at the new Willott Road facility are being planned and enrollment for next school year opens for new families on March 1. For enrollment questions, contact Janet Huskey at firstname.lastname@example.org or 978-1680.
