Young People’s Theatre performs “Miracle on 34th Street – The Musical” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19; 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20; and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21 at the Donald D. Shook Fine Arts Building Theater on the campus of St. Charles Community College, 4601 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in Cottleville. The St. Charles County Youth Orchestra Winter Concert is at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20 at Grace Baptist Church. Selections include Vivaldi’s Gloria, performed with the St. Charles Christian Home Educators Choir, A Christmas Festival, The Nutcracker and others. The Deck the Paws Pet Adoption event is from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20 at St. Charles County Pet Adoption Center, 4850 Mid Rivers Mall Drive in St. Peters. The annual holiday event offers on-site adoptions, along with door prizes, raffles and tips on becoming a better caregiver. Santa Claus is available for photos with families and their new pets. The fee for adoptions ranges from $30 to $60, which includes health examination, vaccinations, spaying or neutering and microchipping. St. Charles Christmas Traditions is celebrated through Wednesday Dec. 24 on Main Street St. Charles. Celebrate the best of the holiday season, including Victorian Carolers, unique shopping and dining opportunities, roasting chestnuts, and special events throughout the month. The O’Fallon Celebration of Lights is offered through Dec. 30 at Fort Zumwalt Park. The hours for the drive-through light show are 6-9 p.m. Sunday and Tuesday through Thursday, and 6-10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Train and Segway tours are offered on Monday evenings beginning at 5 p.m. (reservations are required).
