A Dardenne Prairie resident recently earned the highest rank in Boy Scouting.
Jack Greer, a senior at Timberland High, was officially named an Eagle Scout on Aug. 11.
Greer successfully met the requirements to attain Eagle status by completing his Eagle project, a stone campfire ring and seating area, which will be used by Scouts and other youth groups. He also fulfilled multiple leadership roles in his troop and completed the required merit badges.
During his 12 years in scouting, Greer has earned the Arrow of Light, 44 merit badges, the Triple Crown Award, The World Conservation Award, and Brotherhood in the Order of the Arrow. Greer is a member of Boy Scout Troop 984 at Dardenne Presbyterian Church.
He was officially presented the rank of Eagle at a special Court of Honor witnessed by family, friends and troop members on Nov. 22.
In addition to Scouts, Greer is also a member of the National Honor Society, and participates in varsity cross country and varsity track and field.
