High school girls district golf tournaments set to begin

It’s time for area high school girls golf teams to start district competition.

The Class 2, District 2 teams will tee it up first when the teams begin playing at 8 a.m. Monday (Sept. 29) at Fox Run Golf Club. Northwest is the host. Teams competing are Eureka, Lafayette, Marquette, Northwest, Parkway South, Parkway West, Summit, Rolla, Visitation Academy and Westmisnter Christian Academy.
The other districts are set for Tuesday (Sept. 30).
The Class 2 District 3 will be played at 8 a.m. Tuesday at Crystal Springs and be hosted by Pattonville. The teams competing are Francis Howell North, Fort Zumwat North, Fort Zumwalt South, Hazelwood Central, Hazelwood East, Incarnate Word Academy, McCluer North, Parkway Centrla, Parkway North and Pattonville.
The Class 2 District 1 tournament will begin at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday at Crowne Point. Teams in the district are Cor Jesu Academy, Farmington, Fox, Kirkwood, Lindbergh, Mehlville, Nerinx Hall, Oakville, Seckman, St. Joseph’s Academy, Ursuline Academy and Webster Groves.
The Class 1 District 1 tourney begins at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Forest Hills Country Club. It is hosted by Villa Duschesne. Teams competing are Barat Academy, Clayton, Herculaneum, John Burroughs, Lutheran South, MICDS, Cape Girardeau Notre Dame, St. Francis Borgia, Ste. Genevieve and Villa Duschesne.
John Burroughs is the defending Class 1 champion and MICDS was the runner-up. St. Joseph’s Academy finished second in Class 2 last year
