Crown them master mathematicians

Outstanding ability in mathematics earned Rossman School sixth-graders Sriya Bandi, Evan Hofer, Sami Remis, Chase Stokes and Penny Zheng the ranking of first place in the Missouri Math League Annual Sixth Grade Contest. The five-member team outperformed 32 other Missouri schools to obtain the state champion title. Additionally, Bandi tied for first and Zheng tied for third in the state in individual achievement.

Several other area schools placed in the top 12 including Parkway West Middle, third place; Rockwood South Middle, seventh place; Chesterfield Day School, 10th place and Parkway Central Middle, 11th place. Individual students who ranked in the top 10 of all contestants include Rhythm Garg, tie for first place, Rockwood South Middle; Ben Goff, tie for third place, Parkway West Middle; Tina Chen, Chesterfield Day School, tying for eighth place along with Jason Yang and Dawson Ren.
